I was companion of my mother during her surgery. Hospital care, operating procedures were one of the best. They can be a role model for everyone worldwide. Special thanks to doctors neurosurgeons professor doctor Kaynar, professor doctor Hanimoglu, professor Serkan Kitis, nurses and medical staff at Memorial Şişli Hospital, Block B, 3rd floor. Enormous thanks to our contacts here Arbnor, translators Ajsun and Nejra who made we feel as at home. Huge recommendation from my side.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Memorial Şişli Hospital for the excellent care I received. Everything has been perfect so far. I especially want to thank Dr. Olcay Güler for the successful surgery. I am currently in the recovery period, and I feel confident that everything will continue to go well. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. The staff demonstrated a very professional and positive attitude, which made me feel comfortable and safe throughout the process. Thank you for your care and support.

I would like to sincerely thank Mr .Adham, the medical translator at Memorial Şişli Hospital. He was very professional, patient, and supportive throughout my communication with the medical team. He explained everything clearly, made sure nothing was misunderstood, and was always respectful and reassuring. His presence made a stressful medical process much easier, and his communication skills are excellent. Thank you, Mr.Adham, for your support.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hospital and cannot recommend it. I was misdiagnosed and received poor treatment from several members of staff. The urologist told me I had an infection and prescribed antibiotics. A week later, I learned that I never had an infection at all, meaning I took a full course of antibiotics for no reason. I also received unnecessary and unprofessional comments. When I explained my struggle with a chronic condition to the gastroenterologist, I was laughed at and told that I “worry as if I’m ten years older.” Considering I had already been misdiagnosed twice in Türkiye, it was completely understandable that I would be cautious with doctors. I was charged a significant amount of money and left with no real answers, only frustration and disappointment.

Before surgery: I had chosen Memorial because they had guaranteed to me that they will handle all appointments/transfers/etc. My first day here for pre op and I’m already losing faith in their abilities. I came early but wasn’t able to meet with my doc until 1 hour after my appointment time. My appointment ended at 11:20 , I asked if the transfer could be brought earlier since it was set up for 12 originally; I was told yes then didn’t receive any follow up and they didn’t answer my 3 calls. It is now 12:20, and we are still waiting for our transfer. We have been waiting for an hour. 12:40 pm The transfer picks us up but says that the destination can not be changed even though it is the same distance. The driver is incredibly rude. The day of surgery; Our transfer is supposed to pick us up at 10am. We are at the hotel door at 10am and we get a call saying the transfers are busy so we need to take a taxi. We get in a taxi that doesn’t bring us all the way to the drop off area so we haul our luggage ourselves. We message our “coordinator” that we have arrived and wait 30min in the lobby. Post operation: My “coordinator” came once after my surgery to ask how I was (I was drowsy from anesthesia) and didn’t apologize once for all of the countless problems. I was told an hour ago that I could be discharged from the hospital so I let my coordinator know we’d need a transfer to our hotel in two hours since I’m still hooked up with needles in my hand and we still need my prescriptions brought. She tells me that she will call the transfer people and if there is a car available, I should be ready in 15-20min. Considering I can’t pull out the needle or force them to bring my meds quickly, this would be impossible. Then she asks if I’m staying at Urban hotel (I am not) which makes me once again dissatisfied and disappointed in Memorials ability in administrative duties and general care. Also, during my first call with my first coordinator, I was told that everything was included and would be thought of for me however I just charged 1.950tl for a second corset. They didn’t consider I would need to be wearing on while the other is getting washed/dried. Seriously regret believing Memorial. One week post op: The hospital asked me to reach out to them due to my review. They said they take these things very seriously and that they will do everything in their power to make the rest of our experience better… then the next day they did the same things as before. We will be waiting for hours at the hospital as they are “out of cars” for transfers. So much more happened that I’m too tired to type it all out right now but I will soon because I genuinely don’t want others to experience the same things with this hospital.
