I brought my 10-month-old infant to the ER due to a fever, wanting to understand the cause. We waited nearly 5–6 hours with very poor communication throughout the visit. My baby underwent blood tests and multiple failed attempts to draw blood, causing significant distress and exhaustion. At the end we were told it was likely a common cold virus and no treatment was needed other than fever medication at home — something that could have been explained much earlier. Instead of addressing my main concern, the staff focused heavily on iron deficiency and asked questions that felt judgmental rather than helpful. This was especially frustrating given the amount of time, stress, and discomfort my infant endured. This experience felt excessive, poorly communicated, and unnecessarily traumatic for both my child and me. I would not recommend this ER for parents with infants unless it is a true emergency.

Terrible experience, I brought my baby (10 month old son) who has a fever and took hours just for them to tell us he has a cold and will go away in a few days without them prescribing us anything. They nagged and gave my wife an attitude the whole time, kept saying that she can leave whenever she wants and said that he probably doesn’t get proper rest or doesn’t eat well at home. And the nurse stuck the needle in my sons foot 3 times trying to get a blood sample.

Very big hospital and somewhat confusing on where to go. Noticed most elderly Koreans brought a younger family member to help them negotiate the Medical Center. Samsung Medical Center is known to have some of the best specialist doctors in S. Korea on their staff. I would not recommend this Medical Center for common less serious illness . I think you’d be better off going a smaller facility. The staff is friendly, the doctors are overbooked and they do a great job running you through the very high volume system from check-in, to seeing doctors, to collecting money for services. As an English speaking person with a Korean wife I would not want to navigate this medical center without my wife translating.
