Overcharged and poor bedside manner from the dentist 정일영! Was charged about $1,900,000 KRW (~$1,300 USD) for a root canal without insurance while dentists in private practice in Korea usually charge about $110,000 - $300,000 KRW (~$77 - 210 USD) without insurance. After digging into it, found out that was overcharged and the root canal was for a tooth with three roots when it was for two roots. And they are avoiding trying to help clear up this discrepancy by saying need to pay for another appointment with the doctor. While paying 10x more, the lady who sets up appointments for international patients (Soyeon Lee 이소연) chastises you for coming 10 min late to an appointment and making the dentist more busy after flying thousands of miles for these dental appointments, in the end felt like I was ripped off and makes you feel guilty for needing treatment! Can go elsewhere with an experienced private practice dentist who has worked at a university hospital before

The price is higher than other places, and they don't even provide toothbrushes before treatment. ㅠ If you go to a local hospital, they have disposable toothbrushes... But for everything except implants, local hospitals seem to be better.

Used to be THE largest dental hospital in Asia until some time ago, not sure if it still is. But personally I don’t like the dentists here, they’re pretty rude and rather uncaring to the patients. I am well aware how hard they work, but compared to the medical doctors in the Medical Hospital, the dentists feel a bit out of touch.
