I left Hospital Ángeles del Pedregal feeling really uneasy. From what I understood during my experience, doctors are expected to hit certain billed operating-room amounts, and it seems to create a strong incentive to recommend surgery. That’s not the kind of pressure a patient should ever feel around medical decisions. Also, many doctors don’t accept the insurance tariff rates, which means you can end up paying a big out-of-pocket difference even when you’re insured. On top of that, the parking fees are outrageous for a hospital, and it honestly feels like a rip-off. Overall, disappointing.

I mean who likes Hospitals, right? In our case the neurologist that we visited gave an excellent treatment and attention. The towers and rooms are obviously very fancy, you can find restaurants and coffee shops which is convenient for the family members . The one thing which was very absourd (but perhaps expected) was the parking fee, like close to $500 mxn for a couple of hrs

    1. Huge parking but no direction towards elevators. 2. I ran out of cash to pay parking, since I saw card payment, then I contacted customer service but the guy who was supposed to help said get the cash that’s it haha, and I have to go to atm all the way to the mall which was just other side of the road.

Hospital Ángeles in the Pedregal area (south of Mexico City), is a well-known hospital franchise, it comprises most of the important medical services in one place. Doctors, clinics, lab services and hospitalization are available at a cost above average. I recommend it, if you can afford it. Just the parking fee is 4 dollars per hour, imagining the consultation fees!

My baby was in the intensive care ward for 2 weeks after being born prematurely and the nurses who took care of him were incredible: so friendly, professional and so patient, wonderful people!! My only complaint was that we weren't permitted to take any photos, I guess for security reasons, but it would have made being away from my baby every night a bit easier if I'd had a photo of him.
